Wearables

My wearables extend my object practice by bringing these forms into direct relationship with the body. Taking sculptural objects and adapting them to be worn allows me to test how weight, balance, restriction, and movement shift meaning. Some pieces are cumbersome and demand awareness, while others are light and airy, barely registering until they move or make contact.

None of these works read as typical garments. Instead, they function as intermediaries between sculpture and the body, complicating ideas of comfort, utility, and adornment. I am interested in how wearing an object changes posture, attention, and behavior, and how the body becomes an active participant in completing the work.
