Digital
My digital works function similarly to my wall based pieces, but are created entirely through digital processes. They began out of a practical need: I have a constant urge to make, and digital tools allow me to work even when I have forgotten my sketchbooks or materials. What started as a solution has become its own sustained practice.
These works operate as spaces for exploration, iteration, and quick response. Working digitally allows for immediacy and flexibility, while still engaging the same concerns present in my physical work, form, repetition, balance, and material suggestion. Though immaterial, these pieces are not treated as less resolved. They exist as complete artworks, carrying the same attentiveness and curiosity that runs through the rest of my practice.
